Abstract: |
The skeletal remains of a minimum of thirteen individuals were excavated after bones had been found during building work. There were no signs of coffins but a copper alloy ring was found on one individual. The burials were Christian and appeared to be from the medieval period. The area excavated was probably only part of a larger cemetery. The cemetery was not associated with the nearby pagan Saxon cemetery discovered in 1982. [AIP] |
