Abstract: |
A field evaluation in the form of a walkover survey was carried out at Mill Covert in advance of a proposed extension to Berkswell Quarry, Cornets End Lane, Solihull. Mill Covert had been under plantation for over a century, and subject to neither the usual agencies of archaeological detection nor the destructive effect of modern ploughing regimes. No archaeological features or finds were encountered during the survey, the few low earthworks recorded reflected the former presence of wind-blown trees and extant animal burrows. [Au(abr)] |
