Abstract: |
Further excavations on the site revealed further ardmarks which were almost certainly prehistoric and possibly early Neolithic and were also possibly associated with the hengiform Coupland Enclosure, thus being some of the earliest cultivation remains in the country. Other features revealed were ditches, pits and stake holes which were radiocarbon dated to cal AD 990 to 1165. No artefactual material was recovered. [AIP] |
