Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment, aerial photographic interpretation and trial trench evaluation was undertaken on the site. The desk-based assessment revealed an extensive predominantly Roman settlement pattern to the north of the village of Northborough. This was reflected in the aerial photographic interpretation. The trial trenching confirmed the presence of ditches and post holes of Roman date associated with settlement activity. A single sherd of Iron Age pottery was recovered from a ditch. [Au(adp)] |
