Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group on Phases 5 and 6 of the South Hall Farm gravel extraction site at Rainham, Essex. The watching brief involved monitoring the machine stripping of the topsoil and subsoil across the site. A number of features dated to the Late Bronze Age were recorded. These included a ring ditch, pits and a small linear feature. A number of undated features were also recorded, along with tree throws and a post-medieval boundary ditch. Natural sandy gravel was recorded across the site. [Au] |
