Abstract: |
The assessment revealed there to be few archaeological features previously discovered within the perimeter of the assessment site. However, the area lay adjacent to Six Hills; a collection of burial mounds aligned with a Roman road. These had been recognised as being of national importance and, therefore, were a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The main archaeological potential of the site lay in the discovery of features associated with the barrow cemetery. [Au] |
