Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on 19th and 20th May 2003 at the site of the former Horton Hospital, Long Grove Road, Epsom. Eight trial trenches were mechanically excavated to a cumulative length of 145m. There was some evidence of truncation associated with the construction and use of the hospital buildings. No archaeological features were observed and no artefacts were recovered from the overburden. [Au(adp)] |
