Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks for a new development. The investigation revealed that walls located during the earlier evaluation excavation were part of domestic structures fronting onto Walmgate. Their location and layout accorded well with the 1852 Ordnance Survey map of this area. No pottery was recovered from the site, but a large quantity of architectural fragments was collected. {italon}AIP{italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} 1992.171 (YAT investigation identification no) |
