Abstract: |
The evaluation, consisting of the excavation of 12 trial trenches, was undertaken in advance of a planning application for development. Although no archaeological remains were encountered over much of the site, a discrete area of prehistoric activity was located at the southern edge. Two ditches of possible Bronze Age date and a possibly associated post hole were identified. Large quantities of fore-cracked flint and a small assemblage of worked flint were recovered from the ditches. [Au] |
