Abstract:		 Much of this project took place without archaeological monitoring and few significant observations were made during the replacement of the watermain. In Eaton, remains of a pebbled road surface were revealed beneath the verge west of the River Idle. Close to the river the level of the present road had been raised by deliberate post-medieval tipping. In Gamston a brick culvert was exposed under the road beside the river. [Au]
