Abstract: |
The area had a variable archaeological potential. Very little Roman material had been recovered from the vicinity of the site. This could as likely be due to the lack of archaeological survey during the development of this site and others around it during the widespread urbanisation that took place in the 1950s and 60s, as to an absence of deposits owing to an avoidance of this area.
