Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during refurbishment and extension works to a building which was considered to be of some historic interest, and which lay within the historic centre of Horley. The character of the internal alterations was found to be such that they were extremely unlikely to reveal any items of interest relating to the historic fabric of the building. Much of the ground disturbance associated with building works also proved to be too shallow to lead to observations of archaeological interest. No significant artefacts or features were identified.
