Abstract: |
The watching brief monitored the topsoil strip of an area and the excavation of 14 foundation trenches. No finds of any significance were recovered from the topsoil. Trench one revealed very dark organic inclusions, which was probably the remains of a waterlogged pond. Trench ten included a layer of bleached grey sand, which was believed to be a natural formation. None of the remaining trenches revealed any archaeological deposits and features. [Au(abr)] |
