Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during groundworks for the replacement of the bridge over the Royal Military Canal (SAM 396). A vertical section cut across the rampart and military road on the north side of the canal was recorded and other groundworks monitored. No artefacts were recovered from the make-up of the rampart, however, fragments of clay pipe and tile were recovered from the loose pebble deposits of the military road. [Au(abr)] |
