Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report Abstract:	A watching brief was undertaken of on groundworks for a new building. On the street front a cellar was revealed, which may date to the ownership of the site by Ind Coop and Co. at the turn of the century. Various modern building activities have removed deposits to at least the maximum depth that the present excavations reached. The area behind the street front building line was probably open ground until relatively modern times. [Au(abr)]
