Abstract: |
<summary>The site is of considerable archaeological interest as there seem to be no parallel sites in Surrey at least. Square or rectangular enclosures are not common in the Bronze Age. The large pit may have contained a burial. With the earlier discovery of a Neolithic causewayed enclosure nearby, it is possible that the area remained one of ritual significance through a long period of the later prehistoric era. It is recommended that more research be done before a final interpretation is advanced. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
