Abstract: |
The cottage itself was brick built, with three bays and appeared to date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. A number of timber beams withiin the house were re-used and may be from an earlier cottage on the same site. The watching brief revealed a former brick wall and fragments of 17th/18th century pottery. [Au(abr)] |
