Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was carried out in an area of known tin extraction. Potential tin prospection pits dating to the late medieval/early post-medieval period were identified. Bronze Age pits, one containing a saddle quern were also identified. An Iron Age round house was excavated but no evidence of its association with the industry was identified but the sites proximity to known sites of tin production meant the structure may have been associated with the activity.
