Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during emergency repairs to a gas leak. The watching brief was required as the area lay within a Scheduled Area (SAM28,19) associated with Hadrian's Wall. Two small trenches were dug and did not extend beyond backfill and modern make-up associated with pre-existing services and the road surface. No deposits associated with Hadrian's Wall were disturbed and natural subsoil was not encountered. [Au(adp)] |
