Abstract: |
Consultation of documentary and map-based archives indicated that the site lay in an area of archaeological importance, and potentially contained remains associated with Corinium. Specifically, the study area lay in the northwestern corner of INSULA II, and included part of the inter-insulae street which separated INSULA II and III to the southwest. The remains of a large public building, possibly part of the Roman baths, had been excavated just to the east and those remains probably extended into the study area. [Au(abr)] |
