Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks for a new spectrometer building, at a site which lay within the probable Saxon and medieval village of Mill Hill. A minor Roman road and associated finds had been excavated to the south of the site, and the findspot of a Saxon knife lay nearby. During the watching brief, no archaeological features or artefacts were observed. [AIP] |
