Abstract: |
A watching brief following evaluation (which revealed Bronze Age activity) was undertaken prior to construction of a waste disposal plant. Over fifty features were revealed, recorded and sampled. The remains of two structures represented by post-holes were associated with pits and a possible hearth. These all seemed to date from the Bronze Age and were a rare find in the area. Finds included querns and loom weights, pits were sampled for carbonised remains. [AIP] |
