Abstract: |
The results obtained from the excavation at Grange Farm indicated that much of the site had been subject to truncation, apart from one area that had been under pasture. Two of the four trenches excavated had been truncated to a degree that nothing of archaeological interest remained. One of the remaining trenches produced a post hole and a gully, but neither could be dated, the other had suffered little disturbance other than by field drains. Two post holes and two gullies were excavated, although of these only one of the gullies could be dated, and this tentatively, to the 12th century. The feature may have been a property boundary in the backlands of dwellings fronting the south side of Grange Road. [Au(adp)] |
