Abstract: |
Three trial trenches were excavated as an archaeological evaluation prior to proposed redevelopment within the walled garden of Westoning Manor. The third trench was abandoned when a water main was encountered. No archaeological remains were encountered. Features in trench 2 represented post-medieval dumping and modern disturbances. The only finds observed consisted of post-medieval brick and clay pipe and modern plant pots and rubbish relating to the recent use of the area as a garden centre. [Au(adp)] |
