Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during groundwork associated with the construction of a stable block and sand school. The work identified one significant archaeological feature. The base of a possible midden produced a large quantity of pottery dating predominantly to between mid/late 14th century and mid 15th century, but also contained sherds from a later 13th century cooking pot. Although no associated features were identified, it was likely that further medieval remains lay nearby beyond the bounds of the application area. [Au(adp)] |
