Abstract: |
An evaluation was undertaken within the grounds of the Priory Hotel in order to assess the survival of archaeological remains within the footprints of a proposed development. The Priory Hotel was situated within a large part of the precinct of the medieval Franciscan Friary at Babwell. A small trench was hand excavated within which a feature was revealed. The feature was aligned with an existing portion of the precinct wall and possibly represented a robber trench. A moderate amount of post-medieval pottery and tile was also recovered from the trench and the feature. [AIP] |
