Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment and a field evaluation were undertaken prior to a decision being made on a planning application to develop the land for housing. Five known sites were shown to lie in the area by the County SMR but the map search showed there to have been no structures erected on the site between the early 19th century and the latter half of the 20th century. The evaluation revealed no archaeological features, reflecting the marginal nature of the land in the past, it being prone to flooding. [AIP] |
