Abstract: |
Archaeological monitoring failed to find evidence for any medieval actvivty or occupation on the site in Lavenham. The site of the early medieval settlement nucleus has never been identified within the present town and these observations added to the evidence which suggested that the 15th-16th century expansion of the town, associated with the wool industry, was both rapid and extensive.
