Abstract: |
Groundworks for the construction of a lodge at the Berkshire Arms necessitated the inplementation of a watching brief. Previous finds in the area suggested potential for encountering prehistoric remains. However, the earlier development of a play barn had truncated the natural ground. The negative results of the watching brief were not seen as reflecting a blank area in archaeological distribution, however. [Au(abr)] |
