Abstract: |
Archaeological records were made of a system of enclosures and ditched trackways of predominantly Bronze Age, although some pottery was tentatively dated to the early Iron Age. Three cremation burials, deposited beneath inverted Bronze Age bucket urns were possibly related to the extensive cremation cemetery recorded previously. An extensive spread of post pits and/or post holes appeared to form concentric post rings predating the system of trackways and enclosures. A well was excavated close to the southern limit of excavation but few, if any, contemporary settlement features were recorded in association with it. [Au(abr)] |
