Abstract: |
A feature of uncertain date cut the natural gravel. There was a small possibility of it being dated to the Roman period, but it was more likely to be part of the garden of Bellevue House that occupied the site between 1766 and the mid 19th century. A buried soil horizon was probably also part of the garden. A modern garden soil developed over the entire site during the second half of the 19th century and during the 20th century. [Au(abr)] |
