Abstract: |
The evaluation identified areas of medieval activity in the form of ditches and post holes which had formed the boundary of the abbey associated with Ripon Cathedral. Other remains encountered were substantial amounts of ditches, gullies and pits of uncertain date and function, as well as several quarry pits and walls of post-medieval date. [AIP] |
