Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken at land adjacent to and at the rear of Prudhoe Castle. A series of linked trenches and associated chambers were excavated by employees of Northumbrian Water to accommodated the insertion of new sewerage pipes. Natural sands and gravels were encountered below the topsoil and were observed continuing to the base of the excavation. [Au(abr)] |
