Abstract: |
Further monitoring of topsoil stripping of the quarry site revealed a small pit of Iron Age date in addition to a heat reddened area of subsoil which may have been a hearth or oven base. Close to the latter features, which remained undated, a scatter of medieval pottery sherds was found at the base of the stripped topsoil. [Au] |
