Abstract: |
A wide bank of gravel with two probable ditches lying on either side was observed in the cable trench in a field adjacent to the A33 at Chineham. This was likely to have been a section of the Roman road running between Silchester and Chichester, as it lay exactly on the alignment of the Roman road according to the OS map. [Au(adp)] |
