Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposed new National Blood Service building. Three undated tree-throw pits and several modern features were exposed during the evaluation. All of the trenches exposed a similar sequence of soils comprising natural substrate overlain by topsoil and it seemed likely that the site had been stripped down to the natural substrate in the past.
