Abstract:
A watching brief was undertaken on part of the site in order to define the extent of a flood deposit identified during evaluation excavations. The flood deposit was not seen during the watching brief but extensive disturbance during previous building work, and the removal of the foundations for these same buildings, meant that it was difficult to determine whether the absence of flood deposit was genuine.
