Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was carried out during a geotechnical investigation. The investigation employed a sampling strategy using boreholes, test pits and window samples. Of these only the 18 test pits were recorded archaeologically. However, there were no distinct archaeological features observed in any of the test pits, since most of the deposits were either alluvial or disturbed with late post-medieval and 20th century finds.
