Abstract: |
Excavation of a temporary access road leading to a contractors company at the Broughton Forest Pines Golf Club revealed a wood bank and ditch along the western edge of the B1207. The presence of modern services and an asphalt footpath prevented the recording of a full profile. A sherd of modern ceramic drain and modern pottery were retrieved from the upper ditch fill. It was likely that the ditch was along the line of a Roman roadside ditch and the subsequent woodland boundary. [Au(adp)] |
