Abstract: |
An intermittent watching brief was maintained during groundworks associated with an extensive program of development and renovation at Horton Priory. Although evidence for further ground disturbance around the Priory was evident, a number of interesting features were located. These comprised of several wall footings, largely adjacent to the south and west of the Priory, the possible remains of a metalled surface and the truncated remains of an Iron Age feature lying to the north-east of the Priory.
