Abstract: |
The results of the excavation demonstrated that the evaluation area was relatively rich in archaeological remains which dated to Late Iron Age / Roman period and the medieval period. The earlier period may have represented roadside activity along Ermine Street while the medieval remains possibly included a reworking of the riverside escarpment. [Au(abr)] |
