Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out prior to the determination of a planning application for the reinstatement of a watercourse. Three trenches were excavated along the line of the proposed watercourse and established the presence of a large ditch in trench 3 and deep deposits of alluvial clay and modern rubble. The ditch contained pottery of medieval date and may have formed the northern boundary to the medieval settlement, which lay to the south. [Au(adp)] |
