Abstract: |
The watching brief revealed that truncation and levelling of the site in the Victorian period would probably have destroyed any earlier deposits had they been present. The identification of a probable 19th century well certainly related to when the rear of the property functioned as a slaughter house with a butchers shop fronting the main street. No archaeological deposits or artefacts of interest were located. [Au(abr)] |
