Abstract: |
An observation and recording exercise was undertaken during redevelopment of the site. Evidence for medieval activity to the rear of properties fronting Holywell Hill was recorded (rubbish pits, a well and a garden soil layer) and finds recovered dated to the mid-late medieval period. Similar 'backyard' features of post-medieval date were also recorded along with foundations of , and other features related to, former extensions of the White Hart Public House. [Au] |
