Abstract: |
The archaeological evaluation revealed evidence for medieval reuse of the Roman Road of Ryknild Street. Other Romano-British features included two ditches, possibly field boundaries. The probable remains of a medieval timber structures overlain by a yard surface was recorded along with a quantity of 12th/13th century pottery. The area appears to have lain within fields from the late medieval period and a number of medieval furrows were recorded. [Au(abr)] |
