Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken for a mixed development of retail units, flats and car parking spaces at the corner of Tenbury Road and Ballhurst, Bromyard. The project located a possible clay pit and a flue for a kiln associated with a mid to late post-medieval pottery industry in Bromyard which was, however, in a poor state of preservation. This was the first archaeological indication of pottery production to be discovered in the Bromyard area.[AIP] |
