Abstract: |
Archaeological evaluation of land off Oakley Road, Pipewell showed that the site held little potential to contain significant archaeological deposits. This was despite the site laying just to the south of the remains of the Cistercian Abbey of St. Mary de Divisis, and adjacent to the site of the former Saxon and medieval village of Pipewell. The work involved a desktop study, supplemented by three trial trenches. [Au(abr)] |
