Abstract:		 A watching brief was conducted during tree planting in an area once occupied by stable yards, adjacent to the former moat at Coughton Court. An avenue of 1.5m square by 0.40m-0.45m deep tree pits were inspected. No archaeological finds or deposits were recognised, although large sandstone blocks were revealed in one of the pits.[AIP]
