Abstract: |
An initial appraisal of the site was undertaken in response to a proposed new access road to the wellsite at Kimmeridge Bay. The area possibly contains extensive settlement dating to the Iron Age and Romano-British period. Previously evidence for shale working and salt boiling has been recorded. A desk top study and a geophysical survey were carried out. The geophysical survey showed the presence of several anomalies which may be of archaeological origin. [Au(adp)] |
