Abstract: |
Two phases of archaeological work in advance of a road realignment scheme at Middle Stoke on the Hoo Peninsula in 1995 and 1998 revealed features of Bronze Age and medieval date. The Bronze Age features, which produced moderate quantities of Deverel-Rimbury pottery, were important as they were among the first traces of later Bronze Age activity to have been found in that part of the northern Kent coast. The medieval features were mostly linear boundaries of agricultural origin. [Au] |
